Tell us about your role at Nightmarket and how long you’ve been with the company.

I joined Nightmarket Games in 2023 as a senior 3D artist. My main focus is on creating 3D game assets—modeling, texturing, and sometimes rigging and animating when needed. I also work as a concept artist, designing characters and props. Collaborating with the art director is a key part of my role, where I help make important artistic decisions during pre-production and ensure we maintain high art quality throughout the game development process.

What do you love most about your job?

The best part of my job is seeing my work come to life in the game. Each project brings unique challenges, and I really enjoy tackling them. But what makes it truly rewarding is the supportive environment at Nightmarket—despite our diverse backgrounds, we all share the same core values, which makes working here feel like a shared mission.

What are your top games of all time and why?

Doom holds a special place for me, mostly because it was the game that got me into video games. I loved the massive levels, the eerie monster designs, and those terrifying moments when something would jump out at you. Another favorite is the Metal Gear Solid series, which has amazing design, art, and storytelling. Even though it wasn’t a VR or FPS game, it managed to feel incredibly immersive, and I’ve played through it multiple times.

What are your hobbies outside of gaming?

I’m really into plein air painting, which is painting outdoors in a single session. It’s a great way to connect with nature and really hone your artistic fundamentals. I also enjoy shooting with my Lomo camera. It’s a bit of a throwback—there’s no overthinking or calculating involved, just capturing interesting moments as they happen.

Describe your dream project.

My idea of a dream project has shifted over time. I used to think it meant having a big budget or a huge team, but now I realize it’s more about the experience. For me, a dream project is one where the team is having fun, respecting each other, and working hard together. When you have a dream team, the project becomes a dream too.

What advice do you give for anyone aspiring to get into game development?

Master your craft because that’s what will get you hired, but also be mindful of how your strengths and weaknesses impact both you and your team. Building strong working relationships is key, so don’t underestimate the importance of soft skills like communication and teamwork.

What are your core beliefs when it comes to your job?

Always be a good team player and think about how your work impacts the team and the project as a whole. It’s important to step back from time to time, look at the bigger picture, and figure out how you can contribute more effectively.

Any parting words?

I’m grateful to be part of a company that not only focuses on making great games but also values a healthy work culture. It’s an amazing feeling to be part of such a supportive and talented team.
